Samsung WAVE S8500 Smartphone
The Samsung WAVE S8500 Smartphone is one of the most affordable Google Android Froyo 2.2 version capable smartphone available now. In the grey market, it can only be had at 18.3k, although its official price is at around 22k. It also has a 3.3" 16M-color Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, one of its many selling point. If you have not that much dough, one of the other bang for buck phone out there is another Samsung smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700, which in the grey market can be had for only 13.3k. The Samsung Galaxy Spica is capable up to Android 2.1 Eclair only though, and only have a 3.2" 262K TFT display screen. Either of the two are bang for buck smartphones in their class. You can't go wrong with any. If you have money to burn, you might opt for the Samsung Galaxy S, which some say is better than the iPhone 3Gs or even the iPhone 4. The Samsung Galaxy S is priced at 32k and is exclusively distributed ala iPhone in the Philippines by Globe Telecom but only for a month and will then be freely available elsewhere after.
