iPad How To – Access All Files in your USB Thumbdrive

So you got yourself an iPad this Xmas season, then it hit you, there is pretty much a limitation in adding files to it or extending its storage capacity. Well, I think this ‘hack’ is very much useful for you then. You need an iPad camera connection kit for this to work though, which is sold separately with the iPad. Last time I checked, it is selling at 1,390 pesos in Apple authorized outlets and the Apple online store.

So what this tweak would do? Normally, you can mount a USB flashdrive on an iPad and access USB flash drives without any hack, but it can only read images placed in a DCIM folder on the root directory of the drive. Using this trick, you can now read all folders and files in the USB thumb drive, giving you a much easier (and cheaper) way to install tweaks and apps beyong the iTunes Apps Store and Apple’s permissions. Just watch (intently) the video below on how to do just that.
