Much Ado About Joc Joc Bolante

Once again, the media, especially the special interest media, are all on their feet and if given their way would definitely want to crucify personalities whom they have already prejudged as guilty.

And so the latest is the frenzy behind Joc Joc Bolante. The Philippine mainstream media devoted all their resources and airtime covering a non-event. And with such pathetic gusto at that, like accompanying him on the plane and mobbing him on the airport and hospital, all with POINTLESS resolve.

All this shit are POLITICAL and some media outlets's vested business interests and the socialist groups, they always do every which way they can. The Political season is underway, so expect more media circus about politics even if the 2010 Presidential Elections are still year(s) away. Presidentiables are angling their way to the Presidency already anyway, like that always on repeat Loren Legarda soundbite, portraying herself as if she is not part of government when she does! She is a Senator for pete's sake. Last time I heard, a senator is part of the Senate, which in turn is part of the three branches of Government.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Stock Exchange plunged 12 or so percent yesterday and the Peso is courting the 50-Peso psychological ceiling. These events, unfortunately is lost on the mainstream media.

There is a justice system in place in this country. Whether we like it or not, the proper arbiter of the truth and justice should be the courts. If you have a case against anyone, then let the courts decide it for themselves if you really have the evidence to prove your allegations. Remember Jesus (and Bishops should not be lost on this very Fact), the Lord was tried by the mob on accusations which the instigators with vested interest really cannot substantiate, so they turned to the mob who acts with no rules, just pure hate.
