Sun Cellular Broadband Wireless

Sun Cellular, that poor third telco in the Philippines is to introduce soon a Smartbro prepaid buster called, " Sun Cellular Broadband Wireless." And if reports are to be believed, pricing for the Sun Cellular Broadband Wireless is at 999 pesos and is of Unlimited Usage, and the service is either 3G or HSDPA (3.5G). That's what wireless broadband in the Philippines should be! Since there is now a viable competition (Globe's is a joke, they only made it worse than Smartbro), expect Smartbro to lower their prices too. But since this is the third world, expect that not all areas will have 3G or HSDPA. Most areas actually will only have GPRS (2G) or EDGE (2.5G).



Sun Cellular Broadband Wireless will soon be rolled out. It also uses a USB dongle to act as a 3G/HSDPA modem.
